Utah Jazz vs. Houston Rockets Prediction
These are two teams who are slated to finish towards the bottom of the Western Conference. To the surprise of many, the Jazz started their season 3-0. The Rockets handed them their first loss on Monday night in Houston.
That was the first win of the season for Houston, and they will look to add to that tonight. Houston is an extremely young team that has a ton of talent, and the future should be bright in Houston if these players pan out and the team stays healthy.
The Rockets scooped up Jabari Smith in the first round this year, a season after getting Jalen Green. These are two of the best young prospects in the game, and they will be the core that Houston bulls around for years to come. Utah is in a bit of a different situation.
This time last year, Utah was in win-now mode. A year later and they are in a complete rebuild mode. The team has enjoyed great success during the regular season over the last few years, but they have completely crashed come playoffs.
Utah traded their two stars, Donavan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, and two other starters. They also fired their former head coach Quinn Synder. They are now looking to build around some of the young players that they acquired in trades, and the draft picks that they have. Utah will look to improve to 4-1 on the season tonight. They come into this game as an eight-point favorite.

I am all over the under tonight. These are two offenses that I am not very high on, and this is a tall number this early in the season. Houston is a young team that will take time to build up chemistry on the offensive side of the ball. I think their offensive numbers early on in the year are due for some regression.
Utah is a team that has also overachieved from an offensive standpoint in this small sample size. I am betting that both of these offenses are due for some regression and that we will see that tonight.
