FanDuel is the king of the hill in the Charlotte Hornets vs Orlando Magic player prop market simply by having lines available. Well, BetMGM has lines but DraftKings has yet to release any for this game. I know there are injuries but still. We need action and we can't have action if we don't have lines. That's just how the action works. It's always been that way since the beginning of time.
Orlando Magic vs. Charlotte Hornets Prediction
Franz Wagner is my guy. He just is. I think I may be higher on him than anyone else in the entire sports betting content space and that's a ton of people because there are a ton of people in the sports betting content space. What's not to like? The guy is huge but he can handle the ball and he's got a nice stroke. All of those things are cool but what is going to help him the most tonight is the fact that Cole Anthony is out.
Here's the thing people, whenever a guy that shoots the ball like 14 times a game doesn't play, those shots just don't disappear. They go to other guys. Obviously, Paolo Banchero is going to get his cut but Wagner stands to gain too. I think he could even creep into the 20s in terms of shot attempts. He's only done that six times in his career and he went over this number in five of those games.
Obviously, we want Wagner to take a ton of shots but we also want those attempts to come against the right opponent. An opponent likes the Charlotte Hornets. First off, they're third in the NBA in possessions per game so far this season. Pace-up spots are fun. On top of that, they're not great in defensive efficiency either like Orlando's last opponent (the Cavaliers). I mean Wagner still went over this number against them but that had to be crazy hard. We want an easier path and he has one tonight. We could be looking at the first win of the season for the Orlando Magic tonight. If that happens, Wagner should go for at least 21.
