Portland Trail Blazers vs. Houston Rockets Pick
Anfernee Simons 25+ Points +100. Bet $100 to collect $200. FanDuel has the best odds, click here to bet
We have to do this on FanDuel since they are the only ones with this market available. DraftKings has been jumping into these types of bets so maybe we see them enter the fray at some point. But for now, it's just FanDuel unless you want to go with the standard line of 23.5 (-120). That's the move pretty much everywhere so no need to shop for odds. Unless you just want to.
Portland Trail Blazers vs. Houston Rockets Prediction
This feels like it could go down as the greatest bet of all time. I've done the mental simulations so I know what I'm talking about. After doing close to 3000, I had to stop because the bet wasn't coming anywhere close to losing. I'm serious, not close. This kid was scoring 30+ by halftime in over 80% of them. That's how you know you have a banger, people.
Obviously, stats are for losers so we don't need them. For this particular bet, we just need to know that Damian Lillard isn't playing. That's it. So since he's out, that means ball hog Simons will be back. And I mean that as a compliment. It's the highest form of praise I can give any player. I'd be shocked if this kid takes less than 23 shots tonight. The last four times Simons has hit that threshold, he's scored at least 29 points. We only need 25.
But what makes this play so great is the opponent, the Houston Rockets. They operate at a faster pace than Portland and they are bottom 10 in defensive efficiency. We just saw them give up 20 points to Jordan Clarkson on just 14 shots. They've also given up 19 to Jrue Holiday in the last week. It would have been more but Giannis Antetokounmpo had 44 that night which limited what Jrue could do. If anybody is dropping 44 tonight for the Blazers, it's Simons. This could be the greatest bet of all time.
