This number looks intimidating. Allow me to ease your concerns. Pascal Siakam will remain out for this contest, he has a right abductor strain and will be out for quite some time. When Siakam is out we notoriously see Fred step up. This seems to still be the case as in the first game of the year without Pascal he went 30-5-11. The team he accumulated those stats against was the same Bulls team that he faces tonight.

Chicago Bulls vs. Toronto Raptors Prediction

If he filled the stat sheet everywhere then why are we singling out one prop? I like all of his props but this one sticks out to me for a series of reasons. First off, Chicago allows the 6th most assists to point guards in the NBA. Last game we saw VanVleet have 17 assist opportunities. If that’s the case again then this should definitely hit because his teammates should be able to make at least half of those. Siakam being out gets rid of 7.7 assists per game and although sometimes we see “point Scottie” I think this offense will mainly run through the vet.

VanVleet has 8+ assists in five of his last six and most of those games were with Pascal, now without him, I expect that streak to extend. Last year we also saw VanVleet against Chicago without Spicy P. He has 17 assists in that contest which is more than double what we need tonight. In the other two games last year against Chicago he had nine assists. FVV has hit 8+ assists in his last five games against Chicago averaging 10.8 APG in that span. I like him to run the offense tonight again in what should be a close game.
