Isaiah Stewart 15+ Points (+188). Bet $100 to collect $288. Best odds available at FanDuel (click here)
We will be at FanDuel again because they are giving us ladder opportunities. We need them. Now some people may be the type to bet the standard line. If that's you, I'm not going to bet shame you. It's just not my style. You can roll with 11.5 (-110) at BetMGM, 11.5 (-120) at FanDuel, or 11.5 (-125) at DraftKings. As for me, I'm kicking it up a notch. I want a little more out of my action. I even thought about going 20+ (+750). This could be a Beef Stew night.
I'll start with the bad news first. This guy has only done this three times this season. That's not great. But, and this is a big but, those three times have come in his last five games. I think the big guy is just getting warmed up. The guy has gone for 11, 13, and 14 in three other games this season so it's not like he's never close. I'm just saying at this point he's going over the number enough for me to give him a shot. Feels right.
Now before the haters bring up the fact that he only scored six points in his last game, let me tell you what happened. Stewart got into foul trouble. It happens. You try guarding Jarrett Allen without fouling him. It's not easy. I'd foul the hell out of him. On top of that, the Pistons got blown out so that hurt Beef Stew's playing time too. It was just a bad night. Just know that the last two times Stewart had foul trouble games, the next game he was on his best behavior. The guy learns his lesson.
Tonight Stewart will get the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Little Caesars Arena which is a good thing. For starters, the Thunder rank in the top 10 in possessions per game so it's a pace-up spot for the Pistons. More possessions, more chances at points. That's just how possessions work. On top of that, no team in the NBA has given up more points to the center position over the last seven games than Oklahoma City. Dwight Powell had 13 points in 18 minutes against them. Wendell Carter hung a 30-burger. Brook Lopez had 25 against them in their last game for God's sake. This feels like a really good bet.
