This number is simply too low. AD has received lots of slack lately and deservedly so, but this number is mean. Davis has 22+ points in 7/9 games including his opening night against the Clippers where he scored 27 points. The most encouraging part about that opening night was how aggressive AD was and the fact that he took 22 FGA, which still remains his season high.
Los Angeles Clippers vs Los Angeles Lakers Prediction
Tonight's matchup projects to be close and the Lakers need to start winning in a desperate way. Last year we saw AD score 30 and 27 points against Zubac as well. He loves this matchup and this number is just too low. If it was any player other than Anthony Davis, I'd bump this up from 1 unit, but if I make this a bigger play and see “Anthony Davis has headed to the locker room,” I think my TV will grow wings and find itself broken.
Lebron and Russ have both made statements in the last week about how they want to get AD more looks and tonight feels like the perfect matchup to do so. Russ will be running with the second unit where he looks much more comfortable. Lebron will have a handful with PG likely guarding him so AD seems like the man to run the offense through. I’m surprised to see this one not that popular today but I kinda prefer it that way. Let's roll!
