Boston Celtics vs Oklahoma City Thunder Pick
1u - Boston Celtics 1H Team Total o61.5 PTS (-105) Bet $105 to collect $100. Click here for the best odds, available at DraftKings.
This is a little different than our typical player props but this has value. I see this for 60.5 at BetMGM but juiced to -130 so we’ll bank on the extra point for 25 cents on the dollar of juice. To find this bet on DraftKings where we are betting, you will go to “Team Props” and then “Team Total 1H”. This number may look intimidating but allow me to explain why it’s very in play.
Boston Celtics vs Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction
Boston has hit this prop in five of their last six games with the only miss being their most recent game in Detroit. This game tonight will be played at the Garden where Boston seems to flourish. Boston has played six games at home this year and also has a 5/6 hit rate on that. Boston's only miss at home fell just short against the Wizards when they finished with 58 at the half. This makes sense because Washington allows just 54.2 1H points which is the fifth-best in the league. OKC ranks more toward the middle of the pack and allows the eighth most on the road.
OKC is on the second leg of a back-to-back and they just yesterday allowed 73 1st-half points to the Knicks of all teams. Boston scores 62.5 1H points and has great hit rates on the season and especially at home. If you factor that in with facing a tired Thunder team who lacks defense, and this number has a value at great odds where we only pay -105 juice. Even with Malcolm Brogdon out, I like Jayson Tatum and Boston to jump ahead early in this one and win easily. If they have a low-scoring quarter, I would guess it would be the fourth quarter when they take their foot off the gas. Let's hope this new market treats us well and let's roll!
