Kings vs. Nets Pick
Domantas Sabonis 20+ Points (+120). Bet $100 to collect $220. FanDuel has the best odds, click here
We're at FanDuel here because quite frankly, the others are scared. Real scared. DraftKings won't even give us a number on Sabonis 20+. They are giving out 25+ (+290) which is well below FanDuel's 25+ (+380) so that's a no-go. But, and this is a big but, DraftKings is the only book I know of that has 30+ (+750) or 35+ (+2200). I will not be taking either one of those and I won't even talk about them again (unless they win). I'm just saying, they are out there.
Here's the thing that I've always hated about Domantas Sabonis. He's too unselfish. You can hardly ever trust him to score because he's always looking for his teammates. I'm more of a ball-hog backer in the points market which makes me and Sabonis a tough fit. It's nothing personal but it's still a thing. I just don't understand how a guy can be 6'11", agile as hell, and still choose to pass all the time. Just put it in the bucket big guy.
But here's the thing. Sabonis has been channeling his inner ball hog and things are going nicely these days. In his last six games, the man has scored at least 20 points in five of them. The one time he didn't, he dropped 19, so I'm counting that as a win. Bettors were entertained the entire time that night, so when you factor in all the fun they had, they actually won. What's even better is this guy isn't flying over the number every night either. He's barely getting home, which means he's a high entertainment guy, which is the best thing you can be in this game we play.
The only downside to this bet is the fact that Sabonis is playing the Brooklyn Nets. You could let Brooklyn play with six guys on the floor and they still wouldn't be able to cover a center. That means Sabonis may hit this before halftime. We just saw the Nets give up 37 points to Anthony Davis the other night. I know LeBron didn't play that night but still. The game before that Ivica Zubac hung 16 on the Nets. There's no explaining that away. We have a real shot at seeing the greatest bet in the history of bets play out here. Feels right.
