Going to drink the juice here on McCollum’s assists, but there’s always a mini ladder on FanDuel, where you can run his alt assists at 6.5 and 7.5 for some nice odds. Zion Williamson is out tonight for the Pelicans, which opens a lot of opportunities for other Pelicans players, including C.J. McCollum.
In the three games the Pelicans have played without Zion this year, McCollum has 11, 9, and 9 assists in those three contests. No Zion again tonight, and even though we have a limited sample size to work with, it’s so hard to not get excited about McCollum's props tonight.
McCollum has played the role of distributor well recently, having cleared 5.5 assists in 4/L5 games (the only game he failed to reach this number was 11/9, where he finished with 5). McCollum has 7/7/9 assists over his last three games, and the Bulls are a team giving up a lot of assists to guards. McCollum did have 19 potential assists last game with Zion out, which is plenty to hit the main line of this prop and hopefully enough to cash these alternative lines as well.
For those in search of some nicer odds, the following might be worth a sprinkle. Again, we’re talking about a guy who in three games without Zion, is averaging 9.667 assists per game.
