How could you not love this guy? From a benchwarmer who we always heard had great potential, to actually playing heavy minutes and filling the stat sheet. Last game we saw Bol Bol shoot the ball 21 times and had a 26/12 game. Tonight all we need from him is maybe a 15/9 game, nothing too crazy. This is a matchup he can certainly get that done.
Chicago will be Orlando's opponent tonight and they tend to allow power forwards to fill the stat sheet. Chicago allows the fourth most rebounds and 10th most points to the position and with Banchero still sidelined, this is a prime spot for Bol Bol to keep up his momentum. In four games without Banchero this year, he is averaging 26.8 PR and all we need tonight is 24.
Blowout risk is definitely a concern but we have seen Bol play in the late fourth quarter while down 20+ points. Last game we saw Bol finish the last nine minutes of the game against Minnesota, and even though Orlando lost by 18, he never got subbed out for rest. I think Orlando is more willing to leave him in than other players so he can get more experience and keep his confidence. This is a number we have seen Bol hit in 4/5 games he has seen 30+ minutes and he should see that again tonight with the star rookie sidelined. Let's roll!
