Darius Garland Not To Record A Double Double (-150 @ DK) (Bet $150 to collect $250)
My initial play was to just take Garland u9.5 assists but people quickly caught on and the line moved to 8.5. I think this bet is better than taking the u8.5 because getting exactly 9 is very in play. The juice is more than we typically like but this bet is definitely worth it. Allow me to explain why this is worth taking as a guy who almost exclusively bets overs.
The Bucks allow the fewest assists in the NBA and the 2nd fewest to point guards. Against the Bucks, we have seen Garland struggle to hit double-digit assists as he has games with 9, 6, and 8 three separate times in his last 5 games against the Bucks and Jrue Holiday. In general, he is under in 8 of his last 10 on the season and now gets the toughest matchup there is.
The Bucks have only allowed one player all year to eclipse 10+ assists and that was Dejuonte Murray in a game without Trae Young. They have allowed exactly 9 on numerous occasions, so we’ll drink the juice with the no double-double instead of risking the u8.5 sweat. This absolutely should not happen but we have also seen Garland score 6 points in 30+ minutes so if by some crazy chance he ends with 10+ assists and 9 or fewer points, we look like geniuses.
