This number seems high but is certainly obtainable for our friend Rudy. With Karl Anthony-Towns still sidelined we have Gobert in a revenge spot as the lone big on the court for Minnesota and he should feast on the glass. Rudy played this same Utah team earlier in the season and brought down 23 boards.
That showing was no fluke as Utah allows the fourth most rebounds to centers and Rudy is one of the best this league has to offer. Rudy's last game was a rebounding machine bringing down 21 boards and is in line to have the chance of a similar night tonight.
This game projects to remain close so we should see Rudy play heavy minutes. Blowout and foul trouble are the only risks here but it’s a good sign that Gobert only had three fouls in his initial matchup with Utah. Rudy has put in many years as a member of the Jazz and should continue to haunt them in these revenge spots. 14 is a large number but this is completely in play as long as the game remains competitive.
