The Minnesota Timberwolves vs. the Portland Trail Blazers will clash from Portland, Oregon, on Monday night for a Western Conference showdown. The T Wolves enter play sporting a record of 13-13 on the season. This is a very talented Minnesota roster that is currently playing without its best player, Karl Anthony Towns. They will look to stay afloat until the return of Towns, and they have some talented players to hold things down, including Anthony Edwards and Deangelo Russell.
The Wolves also added French-born big man Rudy Gobert in a massive trade in the off-season. Many people, including myself, think that Wolves severely overpaid for Gobert, but time will tell.
The Blazers enter this game playing to the tune of a 14-12 record. This was one of the worst teams in basketball a season ago, so they overachieved early in the season. Portland has been led by one of the best guard combinations in basketball this year in Damian Lillard and Anfree Simons. The duo has combined for an average of 52 points per game. A lot of people question if the Blazers can continue their stellar play and make a playoff push. Only time will tell but for now, the spirits are high in Portland.

I will be fading the Blazers tonight, and I will trust the Wolves with the points. I have this line as a pick ‘em, so I will gladly take the four points here. This is a guy where I see a lot of scoring on both sides, and I do not think that either team will be able to pull away in this game. The Wolves are one of the best offensive teams in basketball, and I think that they do enough to keep pace here. Let’s keep rolling on the hardwood!
