Taking the under just doesn’t give us the same rush, but we’re in the business of making money so that's what we’re doing here. Big Val has played Utah twice in this year's NBA season and has failed to reach double-digit rebounds in either contest. His most recent game was also against Utah where he only saw the court for 19 minutes and grabbed six boards. In the other games against the Jazz, he played 24 minutes and grabbed nine boards.

Big Val is a rebounding machine no doubt, his per 36 numbers are 14.1 rebounds per game, however, he’s only averaging 23.1 minutes per game. This is his lowest in over six years. Utah allows the fourth most rebounds to centers, so taking the under here sounds crazy but Val is slow on his feet and doesn’t match up well to stay on the court. When he’s out there I think he will be efficient at grabbing boards, but I’m skeptical that he will magically see a last-minute jump.
This is a Larry Nance matchup all day and Valanciunas may deal with foul trouble yet again which could keep him out of the game. I don’t expect another blowout here, but I think Nance matches up better. If JoVal only plays 20 minutes, then he needs a rebound every two minutes on the court which is a tall task. Let's hope betting an under doesn’t make us look silly and let's roll!
