Denver comes into this game supporting a record of 17-10 on the season. Denver was seen as one of the favorites to come out of the West in the preseason, and for a good reason. They have the back-to-back MVP on their roster in the form of Serbian-born superstar Nikola Jokic. Jokic may be the most skilled big man the game has ever seen, and he continues to deliver with another strong season this year.

The real advantage for Denver has been the return of star guard Jamal Murray. Murray missed last year with an injury, and Jokic simply did not have enough help to make a run. Denver is also expected to return Michael Porter Jr, which will be a large boost for them.
The Lakers have had a tough season to this point, playing to the tune of an 11-16 record. The Lakers appeared to find their way, winning five of their six prior to another cold run.
