We’ll keep this one short and sweet because it’s a football day but allow me to explain really briefly why this is a good bet. We can start with that Kristaps has hit this in 6 of his last 9 games. Among those nine games, we saw him face the same Lakers team he faces tonight, who he had 27 points against on a monster 25 FGA.
Bradley Beal is out for Washington, which will open up more shorts for the 7-footer. Additionally, it was announced that Anthony Davis is out for some time which will worsen the Lakers' defense when defending bigs. Kristaps is a natural scorer and should see more volume in an easier matchup than last time. If he can get 27 against AD, then he should be able to get 24 against his bench replacements.
This game projects to be close with just a 4-point spread so hopefully no blowout nonsense and we see Kristaps play his usual minutes. Although football is on and Sunday Night Football is an important divisional game, this will be on too, and has some serious value. Let's roll!
