For whatever reason, they removed all of the first-quarter points for this game at the time of writing, but this will hopefully reopen and the line shouldn’t move. Kelly Olynyk is announced out which is anything that will lessen the juice because he’s not a good defender, but I’m still confident in this play.
Even though this is one yall will likely have to wait on, it’s worth waiting for. We just need two buckets here in a whole quarter. Ivey played 10 of 12 minutes last game against Brooklyn and seems to be earning Dwane Casey's trust back with the ball in his hands. Ivey scored eight points in the first quarter the other night and five in the game before that. Utah defends shooting guards well, but it’s a skewed stat because they limit jump shooters, and Ivey is more of a slasher.
Utah allows the most points in the paint of all teams in the NBA. Ivey makes a living using his burst to attack the paint and even with 7-footer Kessler now starting, I like Ivey's chances to finish at the rim or at least get some free throws that help us get the points needed. It’s weird that they reopened the normal props for this game but not the first-quarter props, however, I can’t imagine them not coming back, lets's roll!
