SGA has been nothing short of magnificent this season. The volume this guy sees is absolutely insane, and he has a great matchup tonight to keep it up. OKC plays Portland in back-to-back games, and in the first contest, he not only has 35 points but had a game-winner. Why I like this bet so much is because he wasn’t even efficient in his outing. He shot 41.7% from the floor which means he left many points on the floor.
Portland is a team that is prone to allowing points in the paint as they allow the eighth most. Regardless of Nurkic suiting up tonight or not, I see Shai finding success slashing and either finishing at the rim or getting more foul calls where he leads the league in free throw percentage. With Josh Giddey questionable, we may see SGA facilitate more as well, but his best trait is his scoring so I expect huge volume again to keep this game close.
This game is currently projected to be close with Portland favored by four, but that should mean that Shai gets his normal 35+ minutes and we see him absolutely go off yet again. This game has a total of 235.5, which is a great sign we see a high-scoring affair. This number is one he will be unlikely to hit until late in the fourth, but it’s fun sweating out these props at the end of the game. He is definitely the team's closer. Let's roll!
