Dennis Schroder has always been a capable scorer, but he hasn’t always been a willing scorer. With Anthony Davis out we see a Schroder that realizes that he needs to be more aggressive to help out Lebron and the Lakers. Schroder has played four games without Anthony Davis this year and has hit in 3/4 games while averaging 20.3 points. The stat is slightly skewed because two of those games are without Lebron as well, but in the two games he played with Lebron and not AD, he still shot 10 and 12 times.
Tonight's matchup has a total of 240 against Sacramento. This is a paced-up game and someone will have to step up to help LeBron and Westbrook, and Schroder feels like the guy tonight. He is coming off of a season-high 30 points, so his confidence should be at an all-time high and he faces a Kings team who allows the eighth most points to point guards.
Schroder should see the volume, it’s just a matter of if the ball goes in. I see many people on LeBron and understandably so, LeBron was 3/3 against the Kings last year scoring 30+ points. He has done so in four straight games, but you know the double teams are coming, and that should leave our favorable situations to flourish tonight. This one could be sweat or early cash, but either way, let's hope it hits, and let's roll!
