We’re getting creative here but for good reason. If you don’t have access to a same-game parlay feature then I suppose I would just take o22.5 PTS for half a unit. Buying down on his points and rebounds here is a great pivot to get us some value. Let's get into why this feels good.
So I established that Lauri Markkanen’s points line is 22.5, we need three fewer points only needing 20+. His rebound line is at 7.5 so we also need three less of that line. Markkanen has a great matchup against San Antonio who allows both the most rebounds and points to the power forward position. I’m sure Jarred Vanderbilt and Walker Kessler in the starting lineup alongside Lauri will result in him sliding to the three plenty in the game but that's been the case and the man is effective regardless.
Markkanen has hit both 20+ points and 5+ rebounds simultaneously in 12 of his last 16 games. A 75% hit rate in the last five weeks is stellar and with a great matchup, we have value here. We are drinking a bit of juice but the hit rate is undeniable and this projects to be fairly competitive. The main losses by him were due to blowouts resulting in him sitting the fourth. I feel good about this one and let's get it while the getting is good, let's roll!
