Buddy Hield is a great player. We actually have great success betting on him historically and he usually takes advantage of plus matchups. Tonight is most certainly a game for him to flourish in. In his two games as a Pacer against Atlanta last year, we saw Buddy score 26 and 25 points. Although we don’t need that much production, it’s a great sign that 17 isn’t far-fetched.
Buddy Hield has 17-plus points in 21 of his last 31 games. That’s nearly a 68% hit rate and this matchup is a good one. This game between the Hawks and Pacers has a 239-point total and a very close spread which should imply that Buddy plays all four quarters and doesn’t have to sit due to a blowout. Dejounte Murray will have his hands full defending Tyrese, more than likely, and Hield should be the beneficiary.
Averaging 25.5 points against Atlanta last year is a great sign and the fact that Hield now plays the small forward is great too. Atlanta allows the sixth most points to small forwards and this game should be a back-and-forth high-scoring affair.
