This game should be high scoring and close. This game has a 245-team total and is nearly a pickem game between the two teams. Sacramento is a wagon at home but is on the 2nd leg of a back-to-back, so the oddsmakers like Atlanta to keep this one competitive and I do too. The obvious picks here are Trae, Dejounte, De'Aaron, or Sabonis, but we’re going with Hunter here, and allow me to explain why.
De'Andre Hunter in his first game vs Sacramento put up 23 PR, all we need here is 18. Hunter has 18+ PR in eight of his last 10 games if you exclude the game he got injured and only played seven minutes in. Sacramento is a great matchup for him as they allow the most points to small forwards and the third most rebounds to the position. With Capela still sidelined, I think Okongwu will remain effective on the glass but not on the level that Capela is and it could create some rebound upside here.
I see this for 18.5 on most books, which I also find playable but this 17.5 that Fanduel is offering feels like a steal especially when his points prop is at 13.5 and he had 10 rebounds against the Kings in his first matchup. This is definitely a stranger pick but this game screams shootout and Atlanta has been a pretty well-balanced scoring team lately. Hunter doesn’t have to do too much for us to cash here. Let's roll!
