Denver Nuggets vs. Phoenix Suns Prediction, Pick, Odds: Will the Shorthanded Suns Stumble in Denver?

The Phoenix Suns and the Denver Nuggets will clash from the Mile High, Denver, Colorado, on Wednesday for a Western Conference matchup. Phoenix comes into this game feeling pretty good about themselves after pulling off a massive upset win last night over the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors were twelve-point favorites, but that did not phase the Suns. Their win was impressive because they were without four of their five starters. Their only regular starter who played in the game was Mikal Bridges. This shows the depth of this Phoneix team and how good they can be.

Nuggets vs. Suns Prediction

The NBA season has been a struggle for the Suns as they represent an overall record of 21-21. It is easy to blame injuries on the Sun's struggles, but even when they were fully healthy, the Suns struggled to win games. They will likely be without Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Ayton tonight. They are also down some key role players in Cam Johnson, Cam Payne, and Jae Crowder.

Denver, meanwhile, has had an outstanding season so far. The Nuggets represent a record of 27-13, which is good for first in the West. They have been led by back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic, who is currently making a case to win his third straight MVP. The Nuggets have been pretty healthy this year, which has been a huge reason for their success as Jokic has gotten some help from Jamaal Murray, and Michael Porter Jr. Aaron Gordon has also really stepped up his play this year. Denver comes into tonight’s game as a heavy thirteen-point favorite.

I am backing the Suns team total tonight. We have rode this trend with the Nuggets at home the last couple of games, and I want to do it one more time tonight. Denver is an extremely difficult place to play, to begin with, but now the Suns are playing this game shorthanded. The altitude in Denver is tough to play in, and I think that this play a real role tonight. This team is on a back-to-back, and I do not think they can keep pace against a Denver defense that has played very well at home this season.
