This one’s a little juiced but that’s been working fine for us lately. Luka is a guy who’s a generational scorer but the man can also dish it out with the best of them. His line tonight at 8.5 is a line that he has hit in eight of his last 11 games and has a matchup that leads me to think this a wagon worth riding while it’s hot.
Luka has faced off against Portland twice this year and hit in both games with 10 and 9 assists. In one game, we saw him hit against Portland without even playing 30 minutes because it was a blowout. This game projects to remain close though with just a -1.5 point spread. If Luka can hit this in a blowout, he can certainly go 3/3 in a competitive game.
The last two good passers that Portland has faced off with have been Garland and Haliburton, who both had 10+ assists. Luka just needs nine for us, which is how many he averages on the road. Luka will likely see plenty of attention, leaving teammates in advantageous positions to get good looks. This will likely move to 9.5.
