Denver Nuggets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction, Pick, Odds: Will Minnesota Struggle Without Rudy Gobert?

The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets will clash from the mile high on Wednesday for a primetime matchup in the NBA. Minnesota comes into this game dealing with a lot of injuries at the moment. They are expected to be down their top scorer Anthony Edwards for tonight’s game. They are also expected to be without one of the best defenders in basketball, Rudy Gobert. Additionally, they are slated to be without three of their top bench pieces. I'm still eyeing the Timberwolves for my pick for this game though.

Nuggets vs. Timberwolves Prediction

Minnesota has had an up-and-down season, and they represent an overall record of 22-23 on the year. This was a team that had fairly high expectations entering the year after they traded for Rudy Gobert. The Gobert deal is not looking like a great one at the moment, as they gave up a ton of draft capital, and he has not performed all that well to this point. Minnesota has also been without their best player, Karl Anthony Towns, for the majority of this season.

The bottom line is things have not clicked yet for Minnesota, but if they can stay competitive until they return some of their stars, they can get into the playoffs.

Denver, meanwhile, has the best record in the Western Conference, and they appear to be a legitimate title threat this season. They are led by back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic who has been outstanding once again this year. Jokic currently holds the best odds to win MVP again this season, making it three in a row for the Serbian-born superstar. Denver has been able to stay healthy this year which is a huge reason for their success as well.

I will be backing my most profitable NBA trend tonight. I am taking the Timberwolves team total under 115 tonight. I have backed this trend in almost every game in January, and we have been extremely successful in doing so. Denver is a tough place to play due to the high altitude, and it is tough for teams to adjust to this atmosphere. Additionally, this Timberwolves team is down a lot of scoring tonight, and I think they will struggle to find a flow in this game. Let’s stay hot and cash in!
