New York Knicks vs. Los Angeles Lakers Prediction

The Knicks enter play feeling good about themselves as of late. The Knicks represent an overall record of 27-24, which is good for seventh best in the East. The Knicks have been led by Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle this season. Randle has really stepped up his play after a poor season and Brunson has performed exactly how the Knicks had hoped when they signed him as a free agent. The Knicks are hopeful that they can get the sixth seed or better to avoid the play-in game, but it appears that they will be involved in the postseason in some form.

The Lakers come into this game on the outside looking in the playoff picture. Los Angeles is 23-28, which is good for the thirteenth-best record in the West. The odds of the Lakers making the playoffs are slim at the moment, but the good news for the Lakers is that they are getting healthier. Anthony Davis returned last week and has looked like his normal self so far. The combination of AD and Lebron James remains one of the best in basketball.

Los Angeles will need their role players to step up in a big way if they want to have an opportunity to go on a run this year. James and Davis sat out versus the Brooklyn Nets last night and should be good to go for tonight’s game. 

I am backing the Lakers in this game. This is a Lakers line all the way, and I will trust Los Angeles in this spot. The Lakers are 10-16 on the road, yet we see this line continue to move in their direction. I think that the Lakers are the better team, fully healthy, and I expect them to display that tonight.

Lebron James has been on a tear all season long, and while he continues to chase the scoring title, I will continue to back him. He should step up in a big way tonight with the bright lights on and lead the Lakers to a cover!
