Grizzlies vs. Trail Blazers Prediction

1u - Anfernee Simons under 5.5 1st Quarter PTS (-145) (Bet $145 to collect $245) Click here for the best odds, available at DraftKings

This is our first time ever betting a 1st Quarter under for a player but for good reason. I might be the only person in the world on this exact pick, given how Simons played last time versus Memphis but allow me to explain. On November 2nd, we saw Simons light up the Grizzlies for 31 points, surprisingly, he didn’t score a single 1st quarter point.

Simons doesn’t typically open games red hot. As the game progresses, he’ll let Dame or Grant cook and get his looks. Simons is under this prop in 6 of his last 7 games. In this span, he averages 4.1 points per 1st quarter, and we have already seen him drop a 1st quarter donut against this same team.

This game has a high total which is a little scary, but Lillard and Grant are both healthy and will look to shoot. If he makes two threes, then so be it, but if not, then he needs to make 3 field goals, and he has only shot 12 times in both of his last two games. With the volume down, Lillard playing red hot, and the hit recent hit rate, I find this to be the best bet for this game. Let's hope for 2 quick fouls, so we don’t have to sweat. Let's roll!
