This one won’t be fun to watch but it makes complete sense.

This bet is one that makes you feel uneasy but allow me to explain. It’s no secret that LeBron James is chasing Kareem’s all-time scoring record. Lebron is 36 points shy and I know for a fact he would rather break the record on TNT against Kareem's old team than on a random Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
If that was the only angle this would not be a 1.5u play but I like it for other reasons as well. When Anthony Davis is active LeBron is under in 22 out of 24 games with him. LeBron has only scored 34+ in two takes with AD and that was against Detroit who can’t defend and Boston which LeBron always tries to give his all against.
LeBron could end with 34 or 35 and lose our bet and still not hit the record but this feels like an inflated number that he never hits with Davis in the lineup. LeBron breaking the record on national TV seems like the perfect script which is the running joke nowadays. I absolutely love this play and hopefully, it’s worth staying up for. Let's roll!
