Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction

Boston enters tonight playing to the tune of a 38-16 record which is good for the best record in basketball. Boston has been led by superstar Jayson Tatum who is having an MVP-caliber season. Tatum has gotten help from Jaylen Brown, who has produced big-time numbers for the Celtics all year long.

Philly, meanwhile, would love nothing more than to get a road win over their rival tonight. Boston has had Philly number as of late, and the 76ers would love to change that narrative tonight. Joel Embiid is having yet another MVP-level season. Embiiid won the scoring title last year, and if the season ended today, Embiid would win another. He has been a matchup nightmare for opposing teams all season long and will look to turn in a big-time performance tonight under the bright lights.

The 76ers sit at 34-18, which is good for third-best in the East. This is a team that feels as if they can go on a championship run if they can get hot at the right time. Boston is a four-and-a-half-point favorite for this game tonight. 

I am going to back a prop tonight and stay off the side. I will be taking James Harden over 19.5 points -120. This is a great buy-low spot for Harden. Harden has gone under this number in four of his last five games, but that means he is due in my eyes. Harden averages 21.0 points per game overall, but he has struggled a bit as of late from a scoring standpoint. He has been right around this number, however, finishing two games with seventeen points and one other with sixteen. Boston will likely give Embiid a lot of attention tonight, which should open things up for Harden. Lastly, Harden dropped thirty-five points the last time out vs. Boston. Let’s hope for a similar showing tonight!
