Portland Trail Blazers vs. Golden State Warriors Prediction

Golden State comes into this game fresh off of a blowout win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night. The impressive part of that win was that they did it in the absence of superstar Steph Curry. Curry is set to miss some time, which means the Warriors will need other guys to step up their game. One of those guys that stepped things up last game was Klay Thompson. Thompson went off and knocked down twelve threes in the win. Jordan Poole also came to life in the second half dropping in twenty-one points. That win got the Warriors two games over the .500 mark. Golden State currently holds the number seven seed in the West.

Portland, meanwhile, got off to a great start this season, but since then they have struggled. The Blazers come into this game playing to the tune of a 26-28 record which is good for the number twelve seed in the West. This is a roster that is solid, but they have struggled on the defensive side of the basketball this year, which has cost them a lot of games. Portland has also been up and down at home as of late, which has forced them down in the standings. The good thing for Portland is that the West is wide open, and if they can get on a run, they will be right back into the playoff picture. 

I am backing Portland on the money line tonight. I went to lock this play in because I think it will continue to jump through the day. There is a chance that Golden State sits some of their guys, especially a guy like Thompson, tonight. Even if Golden State plays their main guys tonight, I think that this is a tough spot without Steph to keep pace tonight. Portland is a better team than their record indicates in my eyes, and I will trust them to take care of business in their own building tonight. Let’s stay red hot and cash in!
