Suns vs. Kings Prediction
The Sacramento Kings vs. the Phoneix Suns will clash from Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday night for a Western Conference affair. Phoenix had made headlines over the last week or so as they made the trade of the year when they acquired superstar, Kevin Durant. Durant will not make his debut for a couple of weeks as he continues to nurse an injury, but the second he comes back, it is tough to argue that this is not the best roster in basketball.
Durant joins all-stars Devin Booker and Chris Paul, and let’s not forget about former No. one overall pick DeAndre Ayton in the paint. Phoenix is the favorite to win the Western Conference, and only the Boston Celtics have better title odds.
Sacramento enters this game playing to the tune of a 33-24 record. They have been led by all-star guard De'Aaron Fox, who is having a career year. Fox leads the team in points averaging 24.6 points per game. Domantas Sabonis has also turned in an outstanding season leading the Kings in rebounds and assists. There are not many centers in the NBA that lead their team in the assists category, but Sabonis is different. The two have given Kings fans a lot to be proud of this year, and they are on their way to snapping the longest playoff drought in the NBA. Phoenix comes into play tonight as a two-point favorite.
I am backing the home team here. If anyone has followed me this year, you know that I love this Sacremto team and that they have made us a lot of coin, but this is all about the spot. Phoenix continues to get healthier, and with Booker back in the lineup, I think the Suns are being a bit undervalued tonight. Deandre Ayton is the guy I want you all to keep your eyes on tonight. I think he has a real matchup advantage, and if the Suns play through Ayton, they will be too much offensively for the Kings to keep pace with.
Phoenix has been one of the best home teams in basketball this year at 19-9, and I expect that to improve tonight. Let’s stay hot on the hardwood and cash in!
