Now I know many of you don’t have this market but for those who do this is a great find. If you don’t have this market I think his u26.5 PTS could be worth a sprinkle but I am nervous that he goes off in the fourth quarter like he typically likes to do.
As for our main bet here I absolutely LOVE it. It’s a little juicy but De'Aaron Fox likes to start his games pretty slowly. He’ll usually play the first six minutes or so and then goes to the bench for three minutes and then plays the last three minutes of the quarter. Domantas Sabonis is usually the first option early on in games and Fox finds his rhythm as the. game progresses.
Fox is under this line in eight of his last 10 games and has a tough matchup against Phoenix who has already proven to struggle against. Last time out against Phoenix we saw Fox only score 11 points in 29 minutes and he only scored two in the first quarter. Although Phoenix that game had Mikal Bridges in their starting lineup, I trust Josh Okogie to fill in as a plus defender and help force Fox to pass out of looks.
Fox is averaging just 5.0 1Q points per game over his last five games despite averaging over 27 a game in that same span, he starts slow and finishes strong. Let's hope that we see more of the same lately. Fox could make three field goals and still end with six which gives us plenty of room to hit this one. Over his last 10 games, he isn't even averaging four field goal attempts in the first quarter so I think a 2-4 first quarter is very in play where he ends between 4-6 points. Let's roll!
