Suns vs. Clippers Prediction

This is our last bet before All-Star Weekend, so let's head into the weekend with good taste in our mouths. Betting on rebounds isn’t typically my thing, but this appears to me like the best bet of the less-than-impressive three-game slate. A mixture of hit rate, game script and matchup were all factors that made me comfortable here.

Let's start with the hit rate. Ayton has 11+ rebounds in 11 of his last 16 games. Nearly a “nice” 69% hit rate as he has been crashing the boards lately. He has hit in four of his last five games as well, and tonight's game should he another one where he sees plenty of the court as this game is essentially a pick-em.

The Clippers may have held Ayton to eight rebounds in their one contest this year, but it's hard to imagine that happening twice. With Zubac and newfound backup big in Mason Plumlee, I see Ayton staying close to the basket as neither are major shooting threats. In the Clippers' last two games, they have allowed 15 rebounds to Brook Lopez (averages 6.5) and 14 rebounds to Looney (averages 8.8). Any team that Mason Plumlee is employed by, I have learned to take the over rebounds against. Let's hope Ayton can get us 11+ tonight and send us into the All-Star festivities smiling. Let's roll!
