2023 NBA Slam-Dunk Contest Prediction
We have about a week off from betting on NBA games, but that does not mean that we can not bet on NBA all-star weekend in Utah. There is no way that anybody wants to watch the dunk contest without a ticket in their pocket. One clear thing is the dunk contest is not as good as it once was when Vince Carter participated or Dwight Howard, but there is still no excuse not to get some action on this event tonight.
There are four participants this year. The favorite is Mac McClung, Mclung, who currently plays for the Delaware Bluecoats of the G league and has been a human highlight since his days in high school. I am willing to bet 90% of people reading this article have seen a Mac McClung mixtape at some point in their life. The second favorite is former Texas Longhorn Jericho Sims. Sims can jump out of a gym and has shown his dunking ability on a nightly basis. Kenyon Martin Jr. is the third favorite, and the longest shot to win this thing is Pelican's sharpshooter Trent Murphy Jr.
I will be backing the favorite here in Mac McClung. I am going to be honest it is tough to analyze a dunk contest, but here is the thing with McClung. He should be more motivated to win this contest due to where he is at in his career vs. his opponents. McClung also happens to have the most dunking ability.
