We are getting some great odds here. Ja Morant is a guy I love betting on. He’s fun to watch and usually steps up in big moments. Tonight's game on TNT is against a Philly team he has already shown to be effective against. Ja already dropped 28 on this Philly team and has a great opportunity to repeat history on Thursday night.
Philadelphia 76ers vs Memphis Grizzlies Prediction
What I like most about Morants last performance against the Sixers was that he took 28 shots. He had an inefficient game but still cashed leaving room for this bet to have a ladder upside. A very good case can be made that the only reason he saw that type of volume was due to Desmond Bane sitting out but we have seen Ja take 20+ FGA in seven of his last nine games with a healthy Memphis squad.
The Sixers allow the second-fewest points to point guards so on paper this looks like a silly bet but I see a game where Embiid gets Jaren Jackson in foul trouble and Ja is left playing the role of hero keeping Memphis in this game. The public money is on Philly so it wouldn’t shock me to see some phantom calls on Ja as he drives to the lane and we get some freebies at the line.
