Dallas Mavericks vs. Los Angeles Lakers Prediction

Dallas comes into this game playing to the tune of a 32-29 overall record which is good for sixth best in the West. Dallas shocked the league when they made a trade to land superstar guard Kyrie Irving. The addition of Irving makes the Mavericks one of the best teams in the West when you pair him Irving with superstar Luka Doncic.

Doncic currently leads the NBA in scoring, averaging 33.2 points per game. He is also dishing out 8.2 assists per game and 8.8 rebounds. Doncic has proved himself as one of the best players in the game, and Dallas fans have a lot to be excited about for a long time.

Los Angeles, meanwhile, is fresh off of a blowout win over the Warriors; the new-look Lakers appear to be a legitimate team, and if the Lakers can get hot, they will be a team that nobody wants to face come playoffs. The reason for that is they have one of the best duos in basketball, Lebron James and Anthony Davis.

Davis has struggled at times with injuries this year, but if he and Lebron can stay healthy, they feel like they can go on a run. The Lakers enter play today with a record of 28-32. They are currently 1.5 games out of the final play-in spot in the West. 

I am going to back the road team and take the Lakers with the points today. Los Angeles is playing some great basketball at the moment, and I believe that it will continue tonight. Lebron James is on a mission at the moment, and that is the last guy that I want to fade. This current Lakers roster is one that I believe in, and I think that they can go on a deep run this year. The shooting that they added is exactly what they needed, as it allows much more spacing on the floor. Dallas won the first two matchups but I like the Lakers to get some revenge today.
