Dallas Mavericks vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction

Philly comes into this game on the heels of a much-needed road win over the Miami Heat last night. What made the win impressive for the 76ers was the fact that they did it in the absence of superstar Joel Embiid; there is now confirmed news on the status of Embiid tonight.

They have been one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference this year and they have the third-best record in the East overall. Philly feels as if they have the talent to make a championship run this season and they will find out how they match up against the best teams in the NBA as they have the hardest remaining schedule.

Dallas meanwhile has struggled as of late, and they are just 1-4 so far in games that Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving have played together. This includes a road loss on Tuesday against a below-average Pacers team. Irving missed a three for the win as time ran out. Doncic has continued to deliver big-time numbers despite the team's struggles as of late. They will look to get right and pick up a much-needed home win tonight. 

I am going to back the Mavs on an alt spread tonight at -2. I do believe that this will be a close and hard-fought game but this feels like a great get-right spot at home for Dallas. The Mavericks are a much better team than they have displayed over the last week or so, and this is a good buy-low spot tonight.
