Clippers vs. Raptors Prediction
The Raptors enter play representing a record of 32-34 on the season, which is good for the number nine seed in the East. Despite the poor record, this is a team that feels as if they are much better than their record indicates. They are a team that can get hot and be a problem in the play-in tournament.
The Raptors' sights are set on getting up to the number six seed to avoid the play-in tournament. They are currently 5.5 games out of that spot, so they would need to heat up sooner than later.
The Clippers, meanwhile, are coming off of a wild win over the Grizzlies on Sunday night. The Clippers trailed the game by 17 late in the third but they made a furious comeback to get a much-needed win. That win moved the Clipper's record to 34-33. The Clippers are currently the #8 seed in the West and trust me, they are the last team that someone wants to face in a play-in-game. They are also a team that is much better than being in a play-in game. The Western Conference is so tight right now that the Clippers are only three games out of the #4 seed. The Clippers enter play tonight as a three-point favorite.
I am all over the Clippers tonight. I am surprised that this line is so short, but I am not going to overthink this game. I believe that the Clippers' win on Sunday over the Grizzlies will spark a run in this team. The Clippers are one of the deepest teams in the NBA, in my opinion, and at some point, this team is going to go on a run. They are too talented not to figure this thing out. Toronto, meanwhile, has struggled to play away from the Six, going just 12-21 on the road this season.
