We faded Killian Hayes in a first-quarter spot, and he burned us when had u3.5, and he ended with four. Tonight we get that money back and hope to continue our hot stretch of profit in seven of the last eight nights. Hayes is not good at scoring, he may fool you from time to time, but this man is a future Shangai Shark.
Despite his 17-point explosion against Indiana last game, he only garnered three first-quarter points on two shot attempts. Killian makes it a priority to get his teammates involved early, and I expect him to be more of a facilitator to open this game. Over his last 13 games, he is averaging just 1.8 first-quarter points, which is well under the five he would need to screw us.
Killian may seem like a beneficiary with all of the Pistons' injuries, and to some extent, he actually is. With that being said, sharing the court with James Wiseman, Isaiah Livers, Marvin Bagley, and Rodney McGruder are all four guys who aren’t afraid to shoot, so there may not even be a direct correlation of whether he plays with them or with the regular starters.
