Heat vs. Grizzlies Prediction
The Grizzlies enter play feeling great about themselves over the last couple of games. The Grizzlies are on a three-game winning streak despite the absence of their star, Ja Morant.
Morant is expected to return at some point this season, but until then, the Grizzlies will rely on Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. The absence of Morant has also allowed some young players to get run in the Grizzlies' lineup. One guy that has taken advantage is rookie David Roddy, who has delivered some great minutes for Taylor Jenkins and the Grizzlies.
Miami, meanwhile, enters this game seventh in the East with a record of 37-33. As of right now, Miami would be in a play-in game, and their goal will be to reach the sixth seed. They are currently 2.5 games out of the sixth seed, behind the Brooklyn Nets.
It has been a somewhat disappointing season for what was expected from this team. The Heat have played pretty average basketball in the month of March, and they would love to go on a winning streak to close out the month. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo have been the stars of the team and they are both expected to play tonight. Miami enters this game as a four-point favorite.
I will be backing the Heat tonight but on the alt spread at -2. This is a tough spot for the Grizzlies on the road tonight and this feels like a great spot to fade them. Memphis is due for some regression and with them facing a motivated Miami team tonight, I believe that they will struggle in this spot.
The Heat match up well here and Miami has played their best basketball on their home floor this season. The Heat are 23-13 in Miami this year. Lastly, Memphis has been brutal on the road this year, going just 13-21 away from Memphis. Let’s stay hot!
