Josh Gayle's Premium NBA MVP Futures Prediction

1u - Joel Embiid Regular Season MVP (+100 @ FD) (Bet $100 to collect $200)

I will keep this one extra short. Embiid is trending upward and his odds are improving by the day. You could argue that it's due to the amazing stretch he’s on or projected voter fatigue because the voters don’t want to give Jokic a third straight victory. Either way, I don’t care why, I just like the bet.

Embiid is on a crazy run and is averaging over 36 points per game in the month of March. Also factor in that him being a better defender than Jokic and he has a strong case. Jokic is clearly the better passer but has seemingly slowed down a tad as his team is comfortably in first place in the Western Conference.

The main reason I like this prop is due to that exactly. In games 77-82 are playing out we will see Embiid having great nights securing his team the best possible playoff seed and Jokic will likely be resting because Denver has the #1 seed secured. It will be hard for Jokic to improve his stock from the bench. Let's hope for some voter fatigue and for Embiid to keep dominating. Let's roll!
