I want to start off by addressing how happy I am for both Sacramento and their fans. It has been 16 years since the Kings made a playoff appearance, and they are a lock-in to get into the dance this year.
As for this bet, I really do like it. Boston is known for their defense, so this may come as a shock. However, there is a real reason to like this one. Sacramento averages 124.2 points in home games, which is by far the most in the NBA. These playoff-deprived fans are flooding the arena, giving the players the energy to put up high-scoring games.
Sacramento is on the second leg of a back-to-back, which sounds not ideal for us. For whatever reason, they absolutely love playing these types of games. The Kings have hit this total in eight of their nine games that are second days of back-to-backs. In that nine-game span, they are averaging 131 points per game. All we need is 117.
The Celtics have allowed four of their last eight opponents hit this number and now face this high-scoring offense. Sacramento would love to steal that No. 2 seed from the Memphis Grizzlies, so I expect them to give their all tonight. Light the beam or not, I like them to put up some points tonight. Let's roll!
