Lakers vs. Suns Prediction
The Phoenix Suns vs. the Los Angeles Lakers will meet up from the city of Angels, in California, on Wednesday for what should be a good matchup. The Lakers have been playing some outstanding basketball in the absence of LeBron James, and they find themselves just 0.5 games out of the final play-in position in the West. A huge reason for that has been Anthony Davis, and another guy who has really stepped up in the absence of James is second-year guard Austin Reaves. Reaves had a career game on Sunday night when he dropped 35 points in a win over the Orlando Magic.
Los Angeles is hopeful that they will get LeBron James back at some point late in the year, but until then, they will need other guys to step up.
Phoenix, meanwhile, is seen as the team with the best odds of coming out of the West when they are fully healthy. The Suns traded for Kevin Durant, which immediately made them the most talented team in the league. The issue for the Suns since adding Durant is that he has not been able to play much. Durant has been injured, and when he returns, this will be a team that nobody wants to see in a playoff series. Phoenix comes into this game as the number four seed representing a record of 38-33.
I am going to back the road team and take the Suns tonight. I think that this is a Suns line all the way. Phoenix has really struggled to play away from home, going just 15-21 on the road, yet we see them as favorites tonight. On paper, this current Phoenix team is still more talented than the Lakers, and I like the way that the Suns match up with Los Angeles tonight. Let’s keep things rolling on the hardwood and cash in!
