Indiana Pacers vs. Dallas Mavericks Prediction

This is a significant game for the Mavericks, who currently sit one game behind the Oklahoma City Thunder for the final play-in spot in the West. This has been an extremely disappointing season for Dallas, who went to the Western Conference finals a season ago. Dallas added superstar Kyrie Irving in a blockbuster trade, and at the time, people believed that the trade made Dallas one of the best teams in the Western Conference.

That has not been the case, however, as Dallas has a losing record since the deal, and now they find themselves on the outside looking in. It is needless to say that this is a must-win game tonight for the Mavs.

The Pacers, meanwhile, are also the last team out of the play-in tournament right now in the East. The Pacers started the season fairly strong, but they have not been playing their best basketball as of late. This is a talented young team that has some players that they should be really excited about for their future.

One of those players is first-time all-star Tyrese Haliburton. Haliburton was added to the team in the Domantas Sabonis deal. He will be the guy that this team builds around for the next few seasons. Indiana comes into this game tonight as a short one-point favorite. 

As I write this article, I do not know the status of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic, but I have to believe that both of them will play tonight in a must-win game. Even if they both don’t play, Dallas should still be able to get past this Pacers team. Dallas needs to play this game highly motivated tonight, and I trust that they will have a focused effort all night long and get a much-needed win. Lastly, if Irving and Doncic are both ruled in, this line will jump, so let’s try and beat this line and get rich tonight!
