Chicago Bulls vs. Los Angeles Lakers Prediction
The Bulls come into this game feeling good about their recent play, including a big-time win in LA a couple of days ago. Chicago represents an overall record of 36-39 on the season, which is good for the final play-in spot in the East. It has been a disappointing year overall for the Bulls, but they feel as if they can go on a late-season run as long as they find their way into the play-in tournament. Chicago is just 1.5 games out of the number eight and nine seeds.
The star duo of DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine leads the Bulls. DeRozan was an all-star this season, and if Chicago is going to go on a late-season run, he will have to be the guy that is responsible for it.
Los Angeles, meanwhile, enters this game playing to the tune of a 37-38 record which is good for ninth in the West. Remember, at the all-star break, this team was not even in the play-in tournament. Following the all-star break, LeBron James was injured, so all things considered, the Lakers should feel good about their current state.
Los Angeles holds a half-game lead over the Thunder and the Mavericks, but they are also just two games out of the final playoff spot in the West. The West has been wild this year, and it will be fun to see how it pans out in the coming weeks.
I am going to back the Lakers on the money line tonight. This is a significant game for both of these teams, and I expect a playoff-like atmosphere tonight. Chicago won the last time out, and if you remember the game correctly, there was some talking between former Laker Patrick Beverly and LeBron.
I would much rather bet on a motivated LeBron James than fade him tonight. I also believe that the way this line has shifted shows that it is a Lakers play all the way. Los Angeles matched up well with this Bulls team, and they should be able to do enough tonight to steal a road win. Let’s stay hot and cash in!
