The Celtics come into this game off of a bad loss against the Washington Wizards. Despite the poor performance vs. Washington, the Celtics are still the number two seed in the East, and they remain one of the favorites to win the championship. This is a Celtics team that got hot late in the year and won the East last year, beating the Bucks in the Eastern Conference finals.
Milwaukee comes into this game sitting on top of the East. This is the best team in the NBA, in my eyes, led by two-time MVP Giannis Antekumpo. Giannis is in the hunt to win another MVP this year, as he currently has the third-best odds, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
Giannis has not been the only star this year, as veteran Jrue Holiday is turning in a career year. Holiday is fresh off a fifty-one-point performance on Monday night as the Bucks took down the Pacers. If the Bucks win this game tonight, they will feel great about their chances to be the number-one seed in the East. The Bucks come into this game as a two-point favorite.
I am going to back the Bucks tonight and fade the public dog. I am surprised to see how much love the Celtics are getting tonight, but I will gladly take the home team that is in better form at the moment. I have not been impressed with the Celtics in the second half of the year, and you know this game means a little more to the Bucks after what happened a season ago.
There is something up with the Celtics right now, and their chemistry just seems a bit off. There are a lot of rumors about Jaylen Brown being unhappy at the moment, and maybe that is impacting their on-court chemistry.
