NBA Playoff Predictions, Picks: How Will the Sacramento Kings vs. Golden State Warriors Series Play Out?
It is finally time for the NBA playoffs. For those of you who have been following all season long, you know how great of an NBA season we have had, and now it’s time to go dominate the postseason. On a slow sports Monday, I figured that we needed to get ahead of the game and lock in a playoff future. I am looking at the series between the Golden State Warriors versus the Sacramento Kings.

Sacramento Kings vs. Golden State Warriors Prediction
On paper, this could be the best series of the first round. The Kings shocked the league this year, finishing in third place in a loaded Western Conference. The Kings snapped the longest playoff drought in basketball this year, and you can expect their fans to be fired up at Golden 1 Center this weekend. Sacramento was the top-scoring offense in the NBA this season, led by stars De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.
The Warriors, meanwhile, are the defending champs despite being the number six seed in the West. Golden State struggled immensely on the road this season, going 11-30 on the road this year, which was one of the worst road records in basketball. The reason that the Warriors are in the playoffs is due to the fact that they have been outstanding on their home floor this year, going 33-8 in front of their home fans this year, which was the second-best home record in the West.
Steph Curry and Klay Thompson lead the Warriors. They feel as if they can repeat and add another ring to their dynasty. It is also worth noting that Andrew Wiggins is expected to return to the Warriors lineup for the playoffs.Â
The bet I am going to take is going to be the Kings +1.5 in the series. Basically, what this means is that the Kings do not lose this series by more than two games. This price is outrageous in my eyes, and I feel as if the Kings are being severely undervalued.
I understand that this is the Golden State Warriors, but their road woes cannot be overlooked. The Warriors were brutal on the road all season long, and I question if they can correct that here in the playoffs.
For reference, the Orlando Magic and the Charlotte Hornets had more road wins this year than the Warriors. The second thing is that this is a legit Kings team, and in my eyes, people are sleeping on them. This is not a fluke of a team, and I expect them to come out and compete for all series. De’Aaron Fox is a top-ten player in the NBA, in my eyes, and he will be a matchup nightmare all series long. The Warriors also lack the size to compete with Sabonis in this series. Let’s cash this in and enjoy the series.
