The Timberwolves have had a rough last couple of days. Starting forward, Jaden McDaniels broke his hand when he punched a wall in frustration, and Rudy Gobert and Kyle Anderson got into a scuffle that included Gobert taking a swing at his teammate. Gobert was suspended for his actions and will not play in tonight’s game.
The Wolves are also without backup center Naz Reid who was having a career year for the Wolves. Los Angels, meanwhile, comes into the Play-In Tournament playing their best basketball of the season.

The Lakers had a disappointing first half of the year, but they have turned things around and appear to be a dangerous seventh seed in the West.
