The New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers will meet up on Saturday afternoon for what should be a great first-round series. The Knicks come into this series feeling great about their regular season.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs New York Knicks Prediction

Let’s be honest. It has been a long time since Knicks basketball was relevant, but basketball is so much better when the Knicks are relevant. Any playoff game at the Garden is always an electric environment, and I could not be more fired up for this series. The duo of Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle has led the Knicks.

Brunson was not voted into the all-star game this season, but he played at an all-star level. Brunson was signed in the off-season, and at the time, there were a lot of question marks if he was worth the amount of money the Knicks invested into him. He has proved any doubter wrong this year and will look to deliver a strong series and help the Knicks advance.

Cleveland, meanwhile, made a significant off-season move of their own when they landed superstar Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell was voted into the all-star game this year and is the star of this talented Cavaliers team. These two teams played four times during the regular season. The Knicks won three of the four, including the most recent game in Cleveland when they beat the Cavs 130-116.

I am going to take the home team tonight and ride the Cavs on the -5 spread. I expect this to be a back-and-forth series, but at home, I can not fade the Cavs tonight. Clevland was one of the best teams in basketball at home this year, going 31-10 on their own floor. I expect their best efforts to kick off this series tonight. Lastly, Julius Randle will be nowhere near one hundred percent for this game which I expect to play a role in this game.
