Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Clippers Prediction
The bottom line is that the Clippers did their job in Phoenix as they took game one and now have the opportunity to control their own fate on their home floor. Los Angeles entered the series without superstar Paul George. George had been having an excellent year for the Clippers, and many people thought that once Pg went down, their chances of winning the series were all but gone. That has clearly not been the case, as other guys like Russell Westbrook and Eric Gordon have stepped up to help out Kawhi Leonard.
On the other side of things, Phoenix is going to have to play strong on the road if they want to win this series. The Suns entered the playoffs seen as the favorites to come out of the Western Conference and for a good reason. On paper, there is no team in the NBA better, and if they get things rolling, this team is nearly impossible to beat in a seven-game series. Chris Paul turned back the clock in game one hitting multiple clutch shots late in the game to lead the Suns to the win. Phoenix enters play tonight as a three-point road favorite.
I am going to stay off the side in this game as I feel like this game could go either way from a spread standpoint but lucky for us, I round I prop that I absolutely love. We are going to fade Russell Westbrook tonight and take under his point total, which is currently sitting at 19.5 on Draft Kings Sportsbook. Westbrook is coming off of a strong first-half performance as he ended game two with twenty-eight points, I feel as if this is a great spot for Russ to regress tonight, and I think that the hooks are overvaluing him in this game. I expect other guys like Norman Powell to get back on track and do more of the scoring tonight, which should cut down on the shot attempts from Russ. Even if Westbrook is aggressive, I expect him to thread from a shooting standpoint. Let’s stay hot and cash in tonight!
